The composer, tar virtuoso, and performance artist Elshan Ghasimi is one of the few masters of classical Iranian music worldwide. She enjoyed many years of musical and philosophical training with renowned masters in the field in Iran and Azerbaijan. At the age of 17, she became the youngest member of the Iranian National Orchestra (1998-2006). Today, she lives in Tehran and Berlin and is committed to the dialogue between Persian and European musical traditions.
